There are important differences between illness and injury in terms of definition, cause and treatment. Illness is defined as any abnormal condition or disorder of the body or mind that impairs normal functioning. Illness is caused by various factors such as infections, genetics, environment, or lifestyle choices. For instance, catching a cough is regarded as an illness.

On the other hand, injury is defined as any physical harm or damage to the body. It is caused by an external force. For example, breaking a bone or  burning yourself are considered as injuries. Both injury and illness refer to conditions that affect our health, but they are not the same.

Therefore, it is important to understand the different ways of treatment and recovery. Illnesses may require medication or other forms of treatment to manage symptoms and prevent further complications. However, injuries often require immediate attention and may need to be treated with physical therapy or surgery.

In conclusion, illness and injury are similar phrases, but they have different meanings, factors and remedies.
